ABOUT THE CLASS

Postnatal Strength Training

Strongmama...a combination of strength, light cardio (no jumping exercises), core/pelvic floor work and flexibility. Adopting the total body approach, we will focus on correcting any muscular imbalances in the body, especially the glutes, core. back and pelvic floor which have been weakened during pregnancy. This class can be adapted to all stages of postnatal and abilities. Your baby will be near you the whole time making friends with plenty of toys and mats to keep them entertained. Toilets and changing facilities on site.

 

The Teacher 

My name is Michelle Walsh, I'm a mum of 2 beautiful crazy toddlers, the fiance of a rugby-mad kiwi man, a Nutritionist and Women's personal trainer originally from the Southwest of Ireland and now living in London with my family. My passion is  Women's Health and Fitness community with a focus on Pregnancy + postnatal training - mums and babies.  After having my second child and recognized the lack of quality classes & support in my area where I could bring my child, so I decided to set up my own where I brought my youngest child to work with me.

What to expect?

A relaxed class attending to your baby when needed. Expect to meet mums of all backgrounds and stages of postnatal. A lovely community where mums can share stories and recommendations whilst focusing on improving their fitness, body, and mind. I use a variety of kits and exercises that are changed each week but always with an emphasis on those areas that pregnancy has taken its toll on-The back, bum, core, and pelvic floor. 


What to bring?

Please bring suitable clothing and shoes, and some water to keep dehydrated. If you have a small pillow or cushion do please bring. 

Please note sessions are on the first floor so pushchairs can be left safely downstairs but if needed can be brought up.
