Our Favorite Pregnancy Fashion Brands

pregnancy fashion

Shopping for clothes - some love it, others loathe it. Figuring out what to wear while pregnant can be quite the challenge. Do you keep most of your clothes and wear them until you’ll only fit in wide skirts and sweatshirts? We remember the days when maternity clothes were about as fashionable as those free t-shirts given to you by...This is why we are super excited to see more and more brands pop up that design specifically for mums while keeping in mind that our sense for fashion and style doesn’t hit the pause button for nine months. And we’re not talking about investing in a whole new wardrobe here, but you won’t believe the difference it makes in how you feel about yourself once your body starts changing when you have clothes to wear that actually fit you and flatter your curves.

Pregnancy can be stylish and we want to highlight some of our favorite brands and styles today to help you find your pregnancy style. These fabulous brands show that no one has to compromise great style and the best part is, you’ll be able to keep some of the pieces in your permanent collection, even after your little one is born.

The brands we’re introducing all perfectly bring together design and functionality and show that neither has to be compromised in maternity wear.

Belly Bandit

Founders and sisters Kari, Jodi, and Lori wanted to do something good for mums - by designing maternity and post-pregnancy essentials that were specifically designed to help women look and feel their best during and after pregnancy. Their thoughtful designs keep in mind the special needs mums have regarding recovery, healing, and providing much-needed support for overstressed muscles and joints. In their collections, you can find anything from belly wraps that help support and compress your belly post-pregnancy to nursing wear and an extensive activewear collection.

Price range: moderate starting at £29, free shipping on UK orders.

Bae the Label

If you’re a lover of simplicity and a laid-back style, then Bae’s maternity clothes will hit the spot for you. The soft and flowy fabrics look and feel great and are perfect for every day.

The brand itself calls their style effortless and versatile and we love their clean cuts and color patterns around greys, whites, nudes, and blacks. Sometimes there’s just no time to think about what to wear and how to put an outfit together, which is why these styles make it so simple and effortless to look great. Added bonus: functionality is guaranteed with their nursing collection that is both stylish and practical.

The only downside is that as of now, only a few select online shops offer Bae clothing as the shop is based in Australia. However, with a minimum order value shipping to the UK is available.

Price range: moderate starting at around £49.

Isabella Oliver

Isabella Oliver is probably as chic as it gets in terms of maternity wear. The brand focuses on classic cuts and contemporary prints and offers a nice selection with pieces for all occasions. You can tell immediately that a lot of thought went into the styles and their items are designed carefully to flatter your shape regardless if you are in the beginning stages of your pregnancy or about to give birth. Get ready to show off your bump in the most stylish way possible.

Similar to Bae, you can throw together an outfit within seconds and we love that the collections are made with eco-friendly materials such as Lyocell, which is 100% biodegradable.

Their great basics such as t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts start at £35 but pieces can cost up to £150. Check their website for sales to snatch beautiful pieces for a sweet price.

Activewear and everything in between

Motherhood maternity has a huge collection which can be a little overwhelming but their activewear section has great bargain buys if you want to stock up on leggings and workout tops or bras for your prenatal workout session.
